- Business Get-together 18th of October
On Tuesday the 18th of October the ambassador and the Trade Council from the Embassy hosted the sixth Business Get-together event in 2016 for Danish business associates in Ghana. The get-together is a recurring event facilitating networking and knowledge sharing between representatives from Danish companies and affiliates in Ghana.
- Denmark joins forces with the EU to address piracy in West Africa
The Gulf of Guinea is one of the regions in the world most influenced by piracy. At the same time several countries in West Africa are experiencing a rapid economic transformation, and are dependent on a safe maritime domain to fully exploit their potential for economic growth.
- BlueTown Seminar
On Monday 10th of October, BlueTown represented by Mr. Ole De Leeneer, country manager in cooperation with the Trade Council, hosted a successful half day seminar on rural connectivity and service delivery in Ghana.
- Credentials handed over in 6 countries
On Friday 7 October, Ambassador Tove Degnbol handed over credentials to President of the Republic of Togo, H.E. Faure Gnassingbé in a ceremony in the presidential palace in Lomé. With this, all credentials in Ghana and the five side-accredited countries to the Embassy of Denmark in Accra have been handed over, since Tove Degnbol took up the position as Ambassador in July 2015.
- Danida acknowledged for Incubator Initiative
The Africa Agribusiness Incubators Network (AAIN) arranged the “Largest Pan-African Agribusiness Conference and Expo 2016” in the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on 4th to 6th October 2016. The theme of the conference was “Turning Science into business: Inclusive agribusiness for vibrant economies”.
- Talent, football and SDG's
On the 30th of September 2016, the Embassy of Denmark represented by Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Peter Eilschow Olesen, participated in the Right to Dream Youth Leadership Summit together with more than 50 professionals from various organizations.
- Embassy supports peaceful election through faith-based groups
On the 7th of December 2016, Ghanaians will once again elect a President and 275 Members of Parliament. Everybody hope that it will be another peaceful election, and faith-based groups are doing indispensable work to ensure this.
- Danish Business Event and the launch of Desmi in Côte d'Ivoire
On Thursday the 29th of September, The Ambassador of Denmark to Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire hosted together with the Danish Pump Company DESMI, the first "Business get together" in Abidjan for the evolving Danish business community in the country.
- Debate: Heritage, representation and authenticity of the film 'Guldkysten'
On September 7th 2016, the Embassy of Denmark in partnership with the National Museum of Ghana and the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board hosted an inspiring debate titled "Gold Coast; Heritage, Representation, and Authenticity". The purpose of the debate was to discuss Denmark's former occupation of the Gold Coast, as well as the representation of people and events in the film 'Guldkysten'.
