International Press Initiative (IPI)

International journalists can now apply for funding for visits to Denmark. As part of the Plan for Growth in Danish Tourism issued by the Danish Ministry of Business and Growth, the International Press Initiative (IPI) reaches out to international journalists interested in covering Denmark and tourism related themes.

The purpose of the IPI is to reach out to international media with an interest in covering Denmark as a tourist destination with an emphasis on one of the following themes:

- City and business tourism
- Costal and nature tourism
- Tourism investment

Media representatives can apply for funding to cover transport from their home country to and from Denmark - e.g. from Moscow to Copenhagen and back. Accommodation and per diem is covered by the applicant.


 

Who can apply?

The IPI reaches out to all types of media including print media (newspapers, magazines, newsletters etc.) and electronic media (TV, radio, blogs etc.).

The IPI will process applications upon receipt. Processing time may vary.

The IPI offers assistance in planning visiting programs upon request. Please contact the IPI secretariat for assistance.

IPI is run by a Press Group consisting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Business and Growth, the Ministry of Culture, International Press Centre, VisitDenmark and Wonderful Copenhagen.

The IPI is chaired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
