Eventful Business Get-together for Danish Companies at the Embassy

On Tuesday the 16th of September the Ambassador hosted a Danish Business Get-together event for Danish business associates in Ghana. The Get-together is a recurring event facilitating networking and knowledge sharing between representatives from Danish companies in Ghana.

The programme for Tuesday’s event featured welcoming and updates by the Ambassador and a number of presentations from many different speakers.

Two special guest speakers were invited to update on the current situation in Ghana and West Africa. Senior Economist John Kwakye from the Institute for Economic Affairs in Ghana lectured on the current macro-situation in Ghana while Dr. Sally Ann from World Health Organisation outlined the status and repercussions of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.

Additionally, the programme also included presentations from two Danish business representatives. Jesper Bjørn Nielsen Managing Director of FanMilk addressed the challenges faced by Danish companies in Ghana and was succeed by a presentation from Managing Director of Heidelberg Jacob Kolding Nielsen, regarding the status of European Business Organisation in Ghana.

The programme ended with updates from the Embassy’s own staff. Updates from the Business Team were delivered by Commercial Attaché Jacob Kahl Jepsen while Consul Jørgen Ebbe Christensen presented the possibilities of the Red Carpet Facility regarding business visas to Denmark.

The event was sponsored by Alcatel Denmark.

The next Danish Business Get-together will be hosted on Thursday the 4th of December 2014.
