For the third time in a row, the Business Sector Advocacy Challenge (BUSAC) Fund's contribution to creating a more enabling business environment for the Ghanaian private sector has been recognized by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG). The BUSAC Fund has again won the prestigious CIMG award for being the "Not for Profit Organization of the Year-2012". The award is in recognition of the Fund's excellence in supporting private sector business advocacy to help create a more enabling business environment for the Ghanaian private sector.
The Fund won the award for the third consecutive time "for being outstanding in its chosen field of business, and for continuing to be steadfast and visible in its efforts at the development and growth of a vibrant private sector. The Fund has over the years transformed the private sector activity through industry transforming schemes which have come to address mainly policy issues of national dimension that have continuously impeded the ease of doing business in Ghana."
The BUSAC Fund was accordingly inducted into the CIMG Hall of Fame at the colourful 24th Annual CIMG awards ceremony held at the Banquet Hall of the State House on Friday, 13th September, 2013. A presentation of testimonials from BUSAC Fund's beneficiary grantees was also screened at the function to the delight of the invitees.
Present at the occasion were representatives of the BUSAC Fund's Development Partners, namely Mr. Lars Jøker, Team Leader, DANIDA Business and Green Growth; Mr. Brian Conklin, Deputy Director, Office of Economic Growth, USAID Ghana; Ms Delphine Aupicon, Programme Officer at the EU delegation to Ghana and Mrs. Elizabeth J.
