Members of an official delegation travelling to participate in meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programmes is required to document their individual participation.
For members of official delegations who, following an official invitation addressed to the government of the applicant’s home country, is travelling to participate in meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programmes, as well as in events held in the territory of a Schengen State by intergovernmental organisations should present:
- A letter issued by an authority of the applicant’s home country confirming that the applicant is a member of the official delegation travelling to a Schengen State to participate in the above-mentioned events
- A copy of the official invitation from the country hosting the event.
- Either of the above documentation must specify who bears the cost of travel and for upkeep during the stay.
