Applicants with no previous travels to Schengen may be asked to report back upon their return. This serves to verify compliance with the conditions of the visa.
An applicant who, in connection with a previous stay in Denmark or other Schengen States, complied with the rules governing entry into and stays in the Schengen States will generally be assumed to intend to comply with the rules in connection with a new stay.
In cases of previous non-compliance, new applications will be decided upon by the Immigration authorities in Denmark, which may take 30-60 days.
In Accra, return reporting takes place at the Embassy on Wednesdays between 9:00 and 11:00.
Travellers from Guinea (Conakry), Sierra Leone, Togo, and Cote d’Ivoire may arrange to return report at the Consulate for Denmark in these countries. Find the consulates here.
