Danida honoured for its long-standing development cooperation

On Wednesday February 4th, Danida was presented with an award from the Millenium Excellence Foundation for its long-standing work in development cooperation in Ghana. The award was given “to honor the bond, commitment and partnership in creating a positive change around the world and primarily in recognition of the valuable contributions to good governance, health, promotion of human rights, and private sector development in Ghana”.

The award was presented to the Danish Ambassador to Ghana, Mrs. Tove Degnbol, by Ambassador James Victor Gbeho, President of the Millennium Excellence Awards at a ceremony in Embassy of Denmark.


Also present were Chairman of the Foundation Mr. Ashim Morton, Founder and Chairman of the Foundation Mr. William Brandful, Board of Governor Mr. Carl Richards, Board of Governor Mrs. Sapna Mukhi, Board of Governor Professor David Ofori Adjei, Board of Governor Alhaji Aziz Adamu, Director Mrs. Jane Attoh, Director Mr. Moses Baiden, and Director Mrs. Catherine Morton. The ambassador received a trophy and a certificate signed by King Asantehene Osei Tutu II.
