Report: New opportunities for Danish agro-waste to energy companies

A report made by the Danish Embassy in Accra and Quercus Group describe that there is an window of opportunities for Danish companies working with waste-to-energy technology to operate in Ghana.

With an estimated generation of 14.1 megatons of agro-waste every year, there is a need for companies who can see opportunities in transforming waste to energy with a particular focus on small-scale solutions.

The report focuses specifically on three cases in waste-to-energy- solutions by Ghanaian Food Processors. The cases include cocoa shells, oil palm press fibres and groundnut shells.
