Return reporting

Applicants may be requested to report back to the embassy upon their return from Schengen area. This serves to verify compliance with the conditions of the visa.

An applicant who, in connection with a previous stay in Denmark or other Schengen States, complied with the rules governing entry into and stays in the Schengen States will generally be assumed to intend to comply with the rules in connection with a new stay.

The Danish mission has 15 days to make a decision on your visa application from the date the mission receives your passport, application and biometrics. In some cases, the processing time can be extended to 45 days, when further case processing is needed.
In Accra, return reporting takes place at the Embassy on Wednesdays between 9:00 and 11:00.

Travelers from Guinea, Sierra Leone, Togo, and Côte d’Ivoire may arrange to return report at the Consulate for Denmark in these countries. Find the consulates here.
